(SOMEBODY GOOFED)... MAN THROWN IN JAIL FOR TRYING TO CASH A
REAL CHECK... BECAUSE HE LOOKED SUSPICIOUS
A guy in Auburn, Wash. was arrested while trying to cash a
forged $8,000 check at a Chase bank.
BUT... the check was real.
AND.... it was written by the Chase bank where he was trying to cash it!
He was cashing an $8,400 Chase cashier's check and the
teller thought both the check, and the man seemed suspicious. She called the
cops and the guy was tossed in jail for forgery.
The bank eventually realized their mistake the next day and
called the police to have the guy released. But, the detective working the case
was off. So, the poor guy spent the weekend in jail.
By the time he got out, he was fired from his job for not
showing up, and his car was towed. To make things worse, he wanted to cash the
check so he could get his car out of the impound lot, but the police kept the
check as evidence.
His car ended up being sold at auction. Chase has never apologized and has done
nothing to help the man. No word on
whether he ever got his $8400.

Spiders in the mailbox?
Yep.
A 65-year-old man in Florida was arrested for harassing and
stalking his ex-girlfriend, and her boyfriend.
They dated for three weeks in March when she decided to go back to her
long-term boyfriend. Since the break-up, the man sent the woman and her
boyfriend harassing letters and even tried getting the boyfriend's social
security number.
One day when the boyfriend went to his mailbox, he found a
clutch of black widow spider eggs inside it had hatched. Luckily, he wasn't bitten by the
spiders. The creepy ex-boyfriend was
arrested.
