A GUY IS EATING A HOT DOG A DAY, FOR 31 DAYS
A Massachusetts man is touring hot dog eateries on his quest
to eat a weiner a day for 31 days.
The 47 year old man is celebrating July's National Hot Dog
Month by having one hot dog for lunch each day during the month.
The man has operated his own hot dog truck for six years. He
has eaten hot dogs grilled, steamed, fried, and boiled from restaurants, carts,
trucks and box car diners.
He got the idea from his Web site, thehotdogtruck.com, which
features locations to find hot dogs in New England.
ONE WOMAN...A $1.1 MILLION FIVE-CAR PILEUP
A woman (in Monaco) caused one of the most expensive car
pile-ups of all time.
She was driving along and ran her $403,000 Bentley into a
$121,000 Mercedes-Benz, which then ran into a $231,000 Ferrari 430, and then
into a $242,000 Aston Martin and a $129,000 Porsche.
The blonde driver and her passengers ended up getting
trapped in their car and had to sit there while tourists gathered to take
pictures of the wreck.
Most of the cars needed some body work.
The estimated repair bill was around $160,000.
(POSSIBLY UNSTABLE) WOMAN CALLED 911, THOUSANDS OF TIMES
A woman singlehandedly clogged up an emergency dispatch
system in Sacramento, California, by making thousands of phone calls about
"nonsensical" problems.
The 44-year-old woman placed more than 150 calls to 911 in
one day! In one call, she told dispatchers: "You cannot print from the
printer icon in the e-mail, thank you."
She sounded polite and apologetic during the calls, but they
were about nothing that required emergency help. She called so often, that
dispatchers knew her by name.
In the month of June, she called 911 dispatchers 2,147.
During that time, she made up for one out of every 30 phone calls into the Sacramento
911 center.
She's facing up to a year in prison.
