On Tuesday, President Donald Trump said that he has authorized the release of a transcript of a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that is at the center of a controversy over whether he pressured Kiev to investigate Joe Biden.

Trump said in a tweet: “I am currently at the United Nations representing our Country, but have authorized the release tomorrow of the complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine.”

The president confirmed reports Tuesday that he withheld aid money from Ukraine days before his July phone call with Zelensky, but denied he used the money as leverage to dig up dirt on Biden, the former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate.
